The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology is currently recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE) Clinical Research Project Manager for the Hematological Malignancies and Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) Program.

Essential Function : With limited supervision, actively participate, plan, and evaluate multiple, complex and/or multi-faceted research programs for one or more designated departments, programs, or central units. Ability to serve as principle investigator on select research projects.

Duties can span a broad range of activities, or be primarily focused within one or more areas of the clinical research spectrum.

Specific Job Duties:
  • Initiate, submit and review protocols for investigational new drugs to include review of clinical and procedural practice.
  • Implement and/or assist with implementation of investigational new drug protocols and coordinate with physicians as well as research to ensure compliance with all relevant institutional and FDA standards.
  • Initiate and coordinate submission of grant proposals or research support for new programmatic initiatives as delegated by the Program Director. Programmatic support may be in the form of direct grants or indirect grants from other institutions, divisions and departments within the University of Cincinnati.
  • Assist with implementation and initiation of collaborative trials with nearby centers to include Cincinnati Children's Hospital, West Chester Medical Center, Hoxworth Blood Center and other hospital groups and systems in which the University of Cincinnati may enter into agreements with.
  • As directed by the Program Director, assist with development of new programmatic initiatives which may involve elements of research and may also involve new service lines such as chimeric antigen receptor T-cell. Responsibilities include facilitating involvement, collaboration and/or research with research coordinators, pharmaceutical companies & their representatives, and the University of Cincinnati pharmacy groups & financial administrators. Coordination of protocols may also include additional institutions with meetings held on or off campus as directed by the Program Director.


Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in related discipline or equivalent education/experience. 5-10 years of directly relevant experience, preferably in an academic or clinical setting
