The University of Cincinnati (UC), College of Engineering and Applied Science seeks to hire multiple Assistant Professor-Educators in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). Duties include teaching graduate and/or undergraduate courses in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering disciplines in specialty areas, such as network analysis, signals and systems, electronics, digital signal processing, instrumentation, and/or communications, for Electrical Engineering; embedded systems, computer networks, software and systems engineering, and/or computer architecture, for Computer Engineering; cloud computing, software engineering, computer networks, databases, data structures, data visualization, object oriented programming, and/or introduction to programming classes, for Computer Science. The successful candidates will be expected to teach courses online and/or in a traditional classroom setting and participate in service related activities. In addition, the successful candidates may participate in curriculum and course development, including distance learning classes and e-learning experiences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Computer Science discipline: An MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field is required.
  • ComputerEngineering discipline: An MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required.
  • Electrical Engineering discipline: An MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field is required.


The Department of EECS offers ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science. The department also has graduate programs that confer Master of Science, Master of Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
