Assistant Professor - College of Pharmacy - Population Health

The University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, 12-month faculty position in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences at the level of Assistant Professor. Primary responsibilities will include didactic and experiential teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. The faculty member will support program initiatives of the Value Based Performance Department of St. Elizabeth Physicians to improve quality of care and lower health care costs of Medicare, Medicaid and commercially insured patients as determined by data analysis and metrics. In this position, the faculty member will help optimize medications for patients with multiple chronic health conditions through telephonic management and use of the Electronic Health Record. In addition the individual will have a practice in population health management at St. Elizabeth Physicians.

The James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy is located on the Health Sciences Campus in close proximity to Cincinnati's Children's Hospital, the Cincinnati Veteran's Administration Hospital, and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, as well as the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health Professions which facilitates partnerships in teaching and research with the faculty from these units.

St. Elizabeth Physicians is the multi-specialty physician organization of St. Elizabeth Healthcare. With more than 342 physicians, 104 advanced practice providers and more than 1,000 non-provider associates, St. Elizabeth Physicians serves more than 300,000 patients in 116 conveniently located sites in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. Its 39 specialties and services include addiction medicine, behavioral health, cardiology, pulmonology and rheumatology among many others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have obtained a Pharmacy degree from a college or university of recognized standing in a field appropriate to the requirements of the position, and must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Ohio and Kentucky. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or fellowship, previous teaching experience, experience in population health, and demonstrated scholarship.
