Essential Function : Under general supervision from the Associate Director (AD) for Administration of the Cincinnati Cancer Center (CCC), provides operations management and administrative support and coordination for CCC Membership Program, Pilot Grant Programs, Scientific Research Programs, and Special Projects. For Membership Program management, oversees administrative coordination of CCC member-related activities, processes and databases such as member applications, grants/contracts proposal and award tracking, CVs, biosketches, publications, and other data as required. For Pilot Grant Programs, supports Center's scientific leadership in management of proposal communications and solicitations, peer-review and assessment, award processes, progress reporting/monitoring, and on-going review to determine return on investment. For Scientific Research Programs, administratively supports Center's scientific leaders and provides management of and coordination for processes and initiatives that promote collaborative research activities within four Scientific Programs, as well as, between Programs. For Special Projects (as assigned), provides targeted assistance in application processes for larger, complex multi-investigator, cancer-related grant proposal submissions (examples: P01, P30, P50, U54, U01) which involve multiple departments and/or institutions. Ensures all assigned membership and programmatic activities and processes utilize best practices and are fully compliant with NCI P30 Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) guidelines and expectations. Essential functions and duties must be managed and coordinated across the three partner institutions that comprise the CCC (UC, Children's Hospital, and UC Health) and their multiple constituencies and systems.

Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree with five (5) years experience; -OR- Associate's degree with seven (7) years experience; -OR- nine (9) years experience. Experience must be in programmatic development or scientific research administration with some level of basic NIH grants application knowledge in an academic institution, health care or cancer-related setting.
