Clinical Counselor - COM

Provide assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, in the Medication Assisted Treatment program, while meeting all standards of practice as required by Ohio MHAS and other regulatory bodies. FTE: 1.0 (40 hrs./week). Hours of operation include Monday - Friday 6:00am - 3:00pm.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides case management, individual and group counseling services to adults.
- Addresses clinical case disposition assignments including patient transfers, referrals and discharges.
- Completes assessments, treatment plans and progress notes for all assigned patients.
- Participates in or provides clinical information regarding patients at treatment team meetings.
- Follows documentation requirements for Lindner Center of HOPE, Ohio MHAS, and other regulatory bodies.
- Maintains knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA, policies, documentation guidelines, and other related regulatory requirements.
- Ensures client outcomes are completed.
- May assist with counseling services in the Outpatient Addictions Treatment Department
Position Qualifications:
- Ohio Licensure as a LCDC, LPC, or LSW. LICDC preferred.
- Must have 3 years' experience providing treatment to individuals with addictions. Experience with MAT treatment and co-occurring disorders preferred.
- Experience working in a variety of treatment settings including outpatient settings.
- Experience conducting individual, group and case management services.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, multicultural and socio-economic issues.
- Basic advocacy skills. Ability to utilize analysis, experience, and judgment to make sound decisions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Computer skills including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience using EMR to document services preferred.
- Ability to work periodic Saturdays.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skillsnecessary to provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for thespectrum of populations admitted to LCOH.
- Ability to enthusiastically follow and model the Lindner Center of HOPE mission, vision and values.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to communicate with patients, co-workers and others in an effective manner to accurately exchange information.
- Must be able toassess and interact with patients, co-workers and others.
- Position requires incumbent to be available at different locations within the building.
- Travel between HOPE Center North and the Lindner Center of HOPE on main campus is required.
- Essential job functions are subject to change at any time based on departmental need.
