UC is one of the largest employers in the Cincinnati region, employing over 15,000 full time and part time faculty, staff and student workers. The College of Medicine, Cincinnati Cancer Center, is seeking an Accountant 2.

Essential Function : Under general supervision from the Associate Director (AD) for Administration, manages day-to-day financial and accounting administration, reporting and analysis for Cincinnati Cancer Center (CCC). Provides reporting, recommendations and advice to the AD for Administration, Center Director, faculty leadership, the CCC Governing Board, College of Medicine Administration (COM), and other groups as required on financial and process related topics, conducting all work procedures and activities in accordance with local, state, federal, university regulations, and CCC Governing Board Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) and documented decisions. Provide targeted budget development assistance as assigned for grant application processes for larger, complex multi-investigator, cancer-related grant proposal submissions (examples: P01, P30, P50, U54, U01) which involve multiple departments and/or institutions. Ensures all fiscal, accounting, and budgetary processes utilize best practices and are fully aligned with NCI P30 Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) guidelines and expectations for a cancer center central administrative office/core. Funds flow, essential functions, and duties must be managed and coordinated in relation to the three partner institutions which comprise the CCC (UC, Children's Hospital, and UC Health), the College of Medicine, and the UC Foundation.

Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree with two (2) years experience; - OR- Associate's degree and four (4) years experience; -OR-six (6) years experience; degree must be in accounting or related field with related accounting experience. Incumbent must possess the business/fiscal experience, especially with UC core business systems, to be fully proficient in performing most or all work assignments.
