Asst/Assoc/Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary:
Full time, tenure-track faculty position within the Mechanical Engineering Department.
We are seeking a talented individual who is passionate about teaching and is invested in the success of our students. If you would like to be a part of a professional, collaborative team devoted to making a significant and lasting impact on the lives of young engineers, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ohio Northern University invites you to apply for a tenure-track faculty position to begin August 13, 2018.
Review of candidates will begin November 1 and continue until the position is filled.

Scope:
The appointment may be made at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Principal Responsibilities:
Teaching of introductory, college-wide courses as well as upper-level mechanical engineering courses is expected. Expectations include advising students as well as actively pursuing scholarly research and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills:
The applicant must be committed to teaching excellence in undergraduate education and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Applicants from any specialty area will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications:
ABD in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Education (with a prior degree in mechanical engineering), or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Education (with a prior degree in mechanical engineering), or a related field is preferred, with all degree requirements completed before the date of employment.
Industry experience, teaching experience, and professional licensure will be viewed favorably.
