Job Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategic Marketing, the Creative & Interactive Director serves as the College’s creative leader, providing creativity, insight, and substantial output to support the College’s pursuit of its strategic goals and objectives. This position is also responsible for managing daily activities, project scopes and plans, and performing related professional level work in their assigned area.

The Creative & Interactive Director advances and integrates the RCC brand and visual identity across the College, ensuring increased awareness of services that Rockland Community College provides, and an understanding of the Unique Value Propositions (UVPs) of the College.

Essential Job Function:

  • Provide the visually creative expertise that is a key element of collaborative strategizing for communications related to all major events and many strategic initiatives, and in support of development/engagement events, and certain initiatives related to admissions and student recruitment, along with various College-wide projects (such as academic areas);
  • Provide support and guidance to collaborating personnel inside and outside the department. Take responsibility for ensuring high-quality work rooted in the College's brand identity, and work to continually build on the College's brand identity to help make it increasingly more effective and impactful;
  • Serve as “hands on” leader on the design team by designing materials for print or for digital, as needed;
  • Supervises Graphic Designer and student workers;
  • Serve as a key leader in communicating, demonstrating, and fostering institution-wide acceptance of the College's brand concept as exemplified in creative materials (digital, outdoor, and print);
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Marketing or related field; high level technical proficiency, training and experience in lieu of degree.

Experience:
Five years of experience in website & graphic design; demonstrated advanced experience in the development and execution of graphics skills, both for print and web.

Starting Salary:  $80,000 - $90,000
