Brief Summary:

The Office of Safety & Security seeks applicants to be part of an on-call/waiting list for security positions at the College. Work schedule is flexible: On-call/Per diem; Evenings and Weekends; Flexibility required. Shifts: 7 am - 3 pm, 3 pm - 11 pm and/or 11 pm - 7 am. If there are no current job postings available for the Office of Safety & Security, please submit an application through this posting, and your application will be kept on file for six (6) months. When a per diem need or regular vacancy becomes available, and you meet the minimum qualifications, you will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patrol grounds, check for Fire and Safety Hazards, traffic duty, investigate unusual activities and prepare reports as required.
• Conform to duties detailed in Security Officers Manual and other duties deemed necessary by the Charge of Shift, Assistant Director or Director of Safety and Security.
• Perform duties in a courteous and professional manner and have the ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications:

Graduation from High School (or GED) and 2 years of verifiable security experience required. Must possess a valid NYS Driver's License with no serious convictions. NYS Security Guard License is also required, along with a 60 day on the job training (OJT) certificate.
