Brief Summary:
The Director of Photography and Videography is responsible for content creation (photos and videos) to support all institutional marketing and communication efforts. Produces a wide variety of creative, high-quality images of people and events for use by the College. Collaborates with graphic designers and editorial and web services teams to produce communication initiatives that support the goals and objectives of the College. Ensures content and brand message is consistent, timely, and relevant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Captures and edits photo and video content to support Marist's marketing and communication efforts, e.g., images of special events; campus life; faculty, staff, students, and alumni, etc.
- Oversees the College's digital library of photos and videos, including Athletics, Admissions, Alumni, Advancement, Student Outcomes, etc.
- Schedules, coordinates, and conducts photo and video shoots.
- Identifies appropriate people and locations for assigned photos shoots and enhances quality of digital images to prepare them for publication.
- Serves on the Marketing Communication Group (MCG), the internal committee charged with brand and content management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience required. Occasional domestic and international travel required.
