Job Summary

The Marist College Upward Bound Program is seeking applicants for the summer program, which runs from June 30 through August 9, 2019, generally Sunday-Thursday. Instructors and counselors must attend an after-school orientation on Wednesday, June 26 and post-program activities.

All positions are contingent upon funding.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related field required. Experience working with diverse and at-risk population preferred. Master's degree preferred.

Essential Functions: The counselor works with students on a daily basis conducting workshops, providing personal, academic and/or career counseling, and assists with the supervision of interns.

This is a non-residential, temporary part-time position.

The Marist Upward Bound Program was founded in 1966. It is a federally funded college preparatory program designed to generate in participants the skills and motivation necessary to persist in completing their secondary education and enter and complete a program of postsecondary education.
