Lecturer in Discipline/Senior Lecturer in Discipli

The School of Professional Studies (SPS) at Columbia University invites applications for full-time positions at the rank of Lecturer in Discipline or Senior Lecturer in Discipline to teach in the MS Program in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). This position will begin on July 1, 2018. This is a full-time appointment with multi-year renewal contingent on successful review. 

Lecturers/Senior Lecturers in Discipline will teach courses related to ERM and/or risk management in one or more of the following areas: value-based ERM, COSO ERM, ISO 31000, Basel Accords, rating agency ERM, regulatory ERM, strategic risk management, operational risk management, financial risk management, insurance risk management, company failures, systemic risk, ERM modeling, information technology risk management, and/or information security risk management.

Successful candidates will exhibit a commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, instructional design, and professional practice and/or scholarship. 

The ideal candidate will have significant ERM/risk-related experience and hold a PhD or Master's degree in ERM, risk management, finance, business, or another area related to ERM/risk or hold an actuarial designation of FSA or FCAS.

Candidates at the rank of Senior Lecturer in Discipline are expected to have substantial experience and accomplishments, and a superlative record of teaching as a lecturer, and documented evidence of pedagogical excellence in carrying out administrative or other department responsibilities.

Candidates at the rank of Lecturer in Discipline are expected to have teaching experience, documented evidence of pedagogical excellence, and evidence of professional growth and activity in the given field.
