Summary:
The Web Applications Administrator is responsible for the support and maintenance of in-house and external websites and content management systems to meet the needs of functional users and stakeholders. Including providing technical support for the SharePoint environment, and assessment and implementation of new capabilities. Involved with creating a long-term strategy on the relationship of SharePoint technology to the business opportunities facing the organization. Ensures consistent functionality across all Keuka College sites.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Technical management of the College's public website, information architecture, and SharePoint environment.
- Ownership and implementation of the content management systems (CMS) used by the College.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team on a variety of online experiences.
- Manage and implement SharePoint sites, sub-sites, system security, system patching, and upgrades.
- Deploy and administer custom developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages, and configures SharePoint services and settings.
- Responsible for maintenance and updates of existing custom sites and scripts, such as modifying existing PHP and .NET applications to improve functionality and process flow.
- Ensure proper implementation of Google Analytics throughout Keuka.edu, and design and interpret reports to measure website effectiveness against institutional key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Responsible for selection and implementation of web tools and resolution of performance issues such as speed of access. Monitors web site use and trends.
- As needed, will provide cross coverage with other members of the Information Systems and Security staff.
- Perform on-call duties, which may require the carrying of a pager/cellphone.
- Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies, and procedures in a positive and professional manner.
- Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
- Attend provided/necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
- Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies.
- Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
- Perform other functions as assigned by management.
