Security Systems Integration Manager


Title: Security Systems Integration Manager

Summary:

The Security Systems Integration Manager will report to the Executive Director of Public Safety and oversee functionality of all critical security systems and projects throughout all campuses. In addition, the "unknown" will be responsible for physical security infrastructure, security system operations in between campuses, and plan/forecast (both budgetary and system enhancement) for access control system, video surveillance system, time and attendance system, call recording system, mass alert system, T2 Enforcement and other emergency management applications.

Responsibilities:

Plan Management: Develop, plan, monitor, and evaluate all facets of the Department's technology expense budget; maintain the Department's budget reconciliations as well as participate in the annual capital project development; conduct thorough reviews of the Department's planned expenses as well as maintain the integrity of the security project's cost analysis report; provide sound recommendations based on well executed analyses to senior management on budgetary allocations and funding prioritizations. Introduce new cutting edge technology to streamline various business applications and/or processes; Explore and implement various security solutions.

Project Management: Initiate, lead, plan, implement, and coordinate activities of multiple projects, dealing with complex considerations of risk and impact on systems and multiple interfaces and dependencies to other systems; ability to clearly present information and interpret complex information as well as supervising, coaching, developing and mentoring staff.

System Management: Evaluate and recommend opportunities in the area of technology strategic/tactical direction utilizing multiple deployed systems; identify, evaluate and present new business/technical opportunities to departmental management for project approval. Analyze and define technology standards; develop technology lifecycle and manage refresh schedules based on the lifecycle framework. Responsible for long-term strategic planning to ensure computing platform capacity meet current and future requirements.

Infrastructure Management: Directly involve with the procurement, architecture, design, and development of all physical security infrastructure technology assets (security workstations, electronic card readers, video surveillance cameras, panic buttons, electric locks, emergency phones, satellite phones, two-way radio communication, security turnstiles, ADA gates, motion sensor, and perimeter gates); collaborate on the creation and implementation of standards for infrastructure technologies.

Operation Management: Manage the day-to-day and long-term security system operations and staff within branch campuses. Responsible for ensuring efficient security system policies/procedures are implemented through key department members and achieving streamline and successful results by maintaining productive relationships with employees. Manage various employees and functions and ensure administrative processes are compliant with both University and Department's security and safety standards.

Payroll Supervision: oversee the day to day payroll operations of the department's Payroll analyst. Work to integrate the time and attendance system further into payroll operations while adhering to strict department policies on accuracy. Oversee the distribution of employee manuals to all full time public safety officers through the payroll office. Track receipt confirmation documentation for future reference.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field from an accredited university required
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • A range of experience from full performance (3-6 years related work experience) advancing to 5+ years of progressive experience in Project Management life cycle activities with emphasis in project planning, risk assessment, resource management estimating and monitoring costs, quality management and project contract management.
  • Adaptive to new responsibilities; ability to multitask and perform under pressure
  • Knowledge and extensive usage of Lenel OnGuard, Kronos, Genetic Security Center, Kronos Workforce Management, T2 Enforcement, and Audiolog Call Recording Software.
