Part-Time Community Referral Liaison / Care Manager

Part-Time Community Referral Liaison / Care Manager

Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Counseling and Consultation Center, the Part Time (20 hrs per week) Community Referral Liaison/Care Manager will coordinate the Interactive Screening Program logistics, oversee the work of the St. John's Mental Health Prevention and Response Community Network, and establish community linkages and referral protocols. This is a three-year position funded by a SAMHSA Garett Lee Smith Campus Suicide Prevention grant.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate SJU's mental health screening initiative and implementation of AFSP's Interactive Screening Program.
  • Establish the St. John's Mental Health Prevention and Response Community Network.
  • Establish linkages and MOUs with community mental health.
  • Develop and coordinate SJU's referral and communication protocols.
  • Assist in the evaluation of current resources to ensure program is providing effective, high quality, evidence-based services and programming to students.
  • Manage data collection and assist with analysis and organization of data files.
  • Collaborate with administrators and departments across campus, including Project Director, Grant Coordinator, CCC Director, to help facilitate grant goals, objectives, and outcomes iu a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by Project Director and/or Director of the Counseling and Consultation Center.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred in psychology, social work, counseling, student personnel administration or related field with a strong understanding of assessment.
  • Preferred 3- 5 years of professional experience, preferably within a university setting.
  • Licensed or licensed eligible as a mental health provider/social worker in the State of New York is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer use including Microsoft Office applications and statistical programs.
  • Ability to monitor and manage timelines to facilitate completion of grant goals and objectives.
  • Must possess strong working knowledge of outcomes assessment, experience with research protocols, as well as strong analytical and writing skills.
