Grant Project Coordinator/Community Network Liaison, Part Time


Title: Grant Project Coordinator

Department: Student Wellness

This is a part-time position for a Grant Project Coordinator. A 3-year grant-funded position. The position will report to the Executive Director of Student Wellness, who also serves as the Project Director of the program.

The SAMHSA has awarded St. John's University a grant to fund a prevention program aimed at preventing suicide of college students. Through this proposed project, the Division of Student Affairs has partnered with the Department of Psychology and external entities with the goal of strengthening, expanding, and coordinating existing University-based services and systems. The program will focus on outreach planning, educational programming for minorities and high-risk groups, and empirically supported risk prevention services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the evaluation of current resources to ensure program is providing effective, high quality, evidence-based services and programming to students.
  • Collaborate with administrators and departments across campus, including the Principal Investigators, Grant Project Director, Advisors, Evaluators and other key faculty and students to help facilitate grant goals, objectives, and outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Manage data collection and assist with analysis and organization of data files.
  • Coordinate Community Provider Resource Network.
  • Assist in implementing and supervising program initiatives.
  • Coordinate writing of grant progress reports.
  • Facilitate and participate in training for students and "Train the Trainer" programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by Project Director.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree preferred in psychology, social work, counseling, student personnel administration or related field with a strong understanding of assessment.
  • Minimum of five years professional experience, preferably within a university setting.
  • Proficiency in computer use including Microsoft Office applications and statistical programs.
  • Ability to monitor and manage timelines to facilitate completion of grant goals and objectives.
  • Must possess strong working knowledge of outcomes assessment, experience with research protocols, as well as strong analytical and writing skills.
