Job Summary
The Law School proctors are responsible for proctoring student final exams. They play an integral role in ensuring the efficient administration of exams and are expected to act in a calm, professional manner at all times. Exams are held throughout the year (see below for next available exam dates). Exams are not held on weekends. Proctors must be available to work most of the days exams are being offered.

Exam Dates:
May 2nd through May 15, 2017

Shifts Available:
Shift #1 - 11:00 am to 3:30 pm
Shift #2 - 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
Maintain order in the classroom during exams. Ensure students are not conversing
Monitor student activity in the hallway during exam period. Ensure that students are being quiet and follow exam guidelines
Sign in students at start of exams
Obtain additional supplies, as needed
Conduct yourself quietly during exams to ensure student concentration
Arrive at the Law School one hour before the start time of the exam
Ensure that students are seated in every other seat before examinations are distributed
Provide students with all exam materials and properly instruct them to fill in their anonymous grading number on all items
Promptly bring student's question forms to staff members
Keep track of time allotted for the exam; instruct students to begin and end at the scheduled time
Be aware of what's happening in the classroom at all times and address issues immediately and appropriately
Collect exams in an orderly fashion

Qualifications:
HS diploma or GED or equivalent
Good interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills
Must be punctual and reliable
Must be able to move about classroom/hallway during exam period
Must be fully alert during exam
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and patience in demanding situations
Professional and courteous work ethic and demeanor
