The Public Health Program seeks an innovative and visionary leader to plan, develop and lead the next phase of building the Master of Public Health Program. This is an excellent ground floor opportunity for an entrepreneurial academic to expand and shape the direction of new academic initiatives with an emphasis on community and global health. Excellent resources will be provided to the successful candidate to support their plan inclusive of faculty recruitment lines. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of the Master of Public Health Program.

Job Summary:

The Director of the Master of Public Health Program will be responsible for establishing and implementing a strategic plan, overseeing the program's daily operations, evaluating and strengthening curriculum to keep pace with current and emerging issues in public health education, research and service, and managing the accreditation process. The Director will have full executive responsibilities for all aspects of the Master of Public Health Program including recruiting highly qualified faculty, conducting and encouraging research and other scholarly activities, managing fiscal responsibilities, and fostering opportunities for community engagement and public health work force development that align with the University's Vincentian mission of community service and outreach to diverse populations.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should hold an earned doctorate in Public Health or a related discipline and have had an appointment at the Associate Professor level.
• An interest in research is preferable with some experience in writing and submitting grants.
• Prior leadership experience in a CEPH accredited public health program is preferred along with the ability to foster collaboration among faculty as well as externally with healthcare systems and community organizations.
