St. John's University Department of University Ministry seeks a candidate for the position of Campus Minister for Music Ministry and Faith Formation. This position requires all applicants to have a strong academic and pastoral background in the facilitation of choir direction, piano and organ accompaniment, liturgy planning, spiritual development and direction of young adults. This position will seek a trained liturgical music minister who will lead and accompany a student choir with musicians for the Sunday evening student liturgy, weekday liturgies, all major university and special Masses and events for the university diverse University population. This position also includes a pastoral ministry to provide support and a ministerial presence, an ability to provide emergency response for students when needs arise and other paraliturgical, multicultural, and interfaith prayer services. Experience and ability to coordinate and lead a variety of faith formation and prayer experiences offered to our University are required for the person seeking this position. Strong knowledge and ministry experience of Roman Catholic faith and traditions and ability to promote the Vincentian spirituality in cultivating the faith life of a diverse, interfaith campus community. Master's degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry or Music is preferred.
