Assistant Dean for Admissions and Recruitment - Law School


Title: Assistant Dean for Admissions and Recruitment

Department: School of Law

Campus: Queens

The Assistant Dean for Admissions and Recruitment is responsible for developing pre- and post-admissions recruiting and marketing strategies and achieving admissions and enrollment goals and managing the Admissions department.

Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of the School of Law's enrollment management effort, including-
  • Develop and manage the implementation of recruitment programs including on- and off -campus events for applicants and admitted students.
  • Represents the School of Law at recruitment and other events.
  • Coordinate new student orientation with the Assistant Dean of Students.
  • Serve as a member of the Faculty Admissions Committee participating in the evaluation of applications and scholarship awards.
  • Maintain admissions statistics.
  • Supervise all other aspects of enrollment management including the transfer and non -matriculated pool.
  • Serve as the admissions liaison to various Law School and University constituencies, including faculty, alumni/ae, and off-campus groups including pre-law advisors and the Law School Admissions Council.
  • Oversee the design and messaging of all recruitment materials, such as publications, website entries and video.
  • Lead the admissions staff to accomplish the strategic priorities of the department.


Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years' admissions experience in higher education, with a proven record of developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent oral, written and technological skills (preferably experience in Banner system, Aces).
  • Strong management experience and a high level of energy and commitment.
  • A team player with superb organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • J.D., professional or advanced degree is preferred.
