Position/Job Summary

The Department of Physical Therapy at Ithaca College invites nominations and applications for a non-tenure eligible faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 16, 2017. This position requires a physical therapist with knowledge of clinical education to serve as the Assistant Director of Clinical Education in a six-year DPT curriculum that provides seamless undergraduate to graduate education. The Assistant Director of Clinical Education is responsible for assisting the Director of Clinical Education ( DCE ) in all aspects of clinical education including coordinating clinical experiences, scheduling, student placement, performing site visits and assessments, and enhancing learning opportunities. The successful candidate will also participate in site recruitment and retention for all allied health programs in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance. In addition to clinical education responsibilities, the successful candidate for the non-tenure eligible position will have patient care responsibilities in the Ithaca College Occupational and Physical Therapy Clinic that requires clinical experience working with a broad spectrum of patient populations. The successful candidate must be able to teach in both clinical and didactic settings. Position/Job Qualifications

Candidates must have 1) clinical doctorate ( DPT ) or academic doctorate (PhD, DSc, EdD), 2) at least five years of clinical experience, and 3) be eligible for New York State Physical Therapy licensure. Preferences will be given to candidates with prior experience as a clinical instructor.
