The Theatre Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year, full-time position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2018. We seek candidates who can teach global performance history and theory, contemporary acting styles (non-realism), theatre education, women in theatre, and related courses in performance theory, history, and practice. We are also seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience and interest in teaching or working with diverse student populations. Your cover letter should address the ways in which you would further the College's goal of building a diverse educational environment, including incorporating issues of diversity in your teaching, scholarship, and creative work.  Candidates with ABD or an MFA will be considered, although candidates with a Ph. D. are preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate active creative and scholarly research interests and activities.
