ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR

The Admissions Counselor is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of all campus events for the Office of Admission.  These include Prospective and Admitted Students days and Counselor Programs, up to 10 events per year.

The Admissions Counselor will also be responsible for the administration and counseling of the college’s deferred student population.

General responsibilities include managing all aspects of a significant territory, from recruitment to enrollment.  Expectations include traveling, visiting high schools, college fairs, and community based organizations; conducting information sessions and  interviews with prospective students, both on and off campus; keeping open lines of communication to facilitate ongoing conversations with prospective students, families, as well as guidance and college counselors.

Must be willing to travel extensively and work extended hours, evenings, and weekends when necessary.

The position requires computer literacy and excellent planning, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.  Demonstrated initiative, creativity, the ability to work well independently and as part of a team, and the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data to inform decision making are essential.

Must have at least a bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and a sense of humor.
