OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PROGRAM/ DEPT FOUNDING CHAIR

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION

The Chair will play a key role in the development of a new Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (OT) Program, with responsibility for overall planning, direction and management of the OT program. The new Chair is expected to lead efforts to secure Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accreditation for the program. Development of a Doctor of Occupational Therapy program (DOT) is a future expectation and may be the preferred priority depending on the timing for program inception. It is expected/desired that the OT Chair will spend roughly 20% of his/her time engaged in clinical practice. The position is a 12-month, administrative faculty appointment, reporting to the Dean of Nursing and Health Studies. The position is on the tenure track, with faculty rank being commensurate with educational attainment and experience.
