Position Summary:

The School of Education at Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Pathology in the Speech-Language Pathology Department. This position is for the 2017-2018 academic year and is a tenure-track appointment. We will begin reading applications on December 11, 2016.

The candidate would be expected to: teach 9 credits per semester (12 credits with a 3 credit course load reduction for scholarship); serve on committees; maintain a research agenda; advise students; and maintain disciplinary currency.

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology aims to provide a state-of-the-art education for our candidates. The Speech-Language Pathology Program holds ASHA Candidacy Accreditation. Our graduates are expected to contribute to and be leaders in their field through practice, education, and professional excellence.

Doctoral degree, ABD candidates may be considered with degree completion expected by date of employment

Earned doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders or a closely-related discipline.

Possess a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). New Jersey license-eligible as a speech-language pathologist.

Preferred Qualifications:
Specialization in the area of neurogenic linguistic or cognitive impairments associated with aphasia, dementia or traumatic brain injury.
