ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT

The Department of Management at Rider University is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position in the area of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurial Studies at the Assistant Professor level starting September 2016.

 

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurial Studies, or a closely related field, by September 2016.  The candidate must show strong potential in teaching as well as research skills consistent with AACSB standards.  He/she will teach undergraduate courses such as Strategic Management and Policy, International Entrepreneurship, and Small Business Management, as well as strategic management and entrepreneurship courses in the MBA and Executive MBA programs.  The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to effective teaching, research, and interacting with students of all levels. 

 

The 10 month work year has a standard teaching load of 3 fall/3 spring classes, with 13-week semesters. Summer teaching opportunities are available on the Rider campus. Tenure-track faculty members are expected to conduct research leading to publications in quality refereed journals, and participate in department, school, and university service activities. Summer research fellowships and other research funding are available.

 

Rider University is a private, AACSB-accredited, coeducational university located near Princeton, NJ, and within easy driving distance or train ride from New York City and Philadelphia. Rider is ranked in the top tier of northern regional universities by US News and World Report and was named by The Princeton Review as one of the “Best 378 Colleges” in the nation for 2015. The Department of Management currently consists of 11 faculty members with diverse teaching and research interests.
