The Department of Biological Sciences at Dartmouth College seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Ecosystem Ecology. We seek highly qualified candidates who investigate ecosystem processes to address broadly relevant conceptual issues in ecology. We welcome applicants who study any group of organisms in any type of ecosystem (terrestrial, freshwater, and marine), and who could include local field sites as part of their research and teaching programs. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. We seek a colleague who will supervise an independent, extramurally funded research program; provide research training for graduate and undergraduate students; teach introductory ecology and other courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and contribute to our recently expanded cross-departmental graduate program in Ecology, Evolution, Ecosystems and Society. Dartmouth also offers many opportunities to interact with faculty in other departments and programs, including the Environmental Studies Program and the Department of Earth Sciences. Application materials should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, three representative publications, statements of research and teaching interests, and the names and contact information for three references.
