The Theater Department at Dartmouth College invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of Scenic Design. Primary responsibilities include: teaching Scenic Design; designing two MainStage productions each year; advising and mentoring undergraduate student designers. Scenic Painting skills are desirable. Additional responsibilities include participating in the administrative activities of the Department and College, and teaching other courses as needed. The successful candidate is expected to maintain a strong level of professional development. Qualifications: M.F.A. in Scenic Design and/or equivalent professional experience; strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
This position is supported by a full-time Technical Director and an Assistant Technical Director/Master Carpenter. Dartmouth College is a Liberal Arts program that offers a B.A. in Theater.
