The University of New Hampshire (UNH), the flag ship university of USNH, is seeking an exceptional leader for their next Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).  Reporting to the University’s Vice-President for Finance and Administration, the Chief Human Resources Officer will have leadership responsibility for developing a 21st century workforce for the University; creating a customer centered vision for HR in support of all levels of the organization; responding to the needs of management, faculty and employees; inspiring others to commit to a strong performance based culture; and creating a work environment that is inspired and collaborative.   The Chief Human Resources Officer will lead activities in:  employee relations; diversity and inclusion; collective bargaining; total rewards; learning and organizational development; talent acquisition, talent assessment, and management development. 

UNH has approximately 13,000 undergraduates, 2,400 graduate students, 630-tenured/tenure-track faculty, and 2,000 staff. The university offers more than 100 majors through seven schools and colleges.

Ideal candidates will have: achievement in creating and leading change in a large, complex, research focused organization; ability to analyze service delivery and create strategies to improve results; ability to provide creative and innovative HR solutions against critical organizational needs; ten plus years of increasingly responsible human resource management experience across all areas of human resources management; and a bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree and/or certifications in one or more talent management/OD programs preferred.
