Career Resource Specialist - Students

We are a community-based Human Services organization working with individuals that experience barriers to employment. We work with adults and youth focusing on vocational based activities such as: resume and application writing, interview skills training, job readiness, business development and job coaching. Details for this position:

This position would be supporting students in the Framingham area. We have a part-time opportunities available. Monday-Friday - daytime and early evening hours available. This position can grow to full-time based on performance.

HOW WE WORK

Our Student Career Coach/Career Resource Specialist are the face of the organization; acting as a career consultant to the individuals that we serve and the business community. There are a couple different components to this role:

• Direct Support -- Providing direct support to students with disabilities to develop career goals, prepare for their job search, secure their job, coach the individuals as they learn the tasks and responsibilities of their positions, and facilitate communication between the individual and his/her employer.
• School Services -- Working with students, often with disabilities, in local school districts to provide career exploration, job coaching and direct support.
• Business Developer -- Contacting employers in the community to identify job leads, and assist students in securing employment.
