The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Drama, seeks a highly experienced movement teacher to design and implement a 3-year movement sequence for actors in its nationally ranked BFA program. This is an opportunity for a highly experienced teacher to combine a variety of movement disciplines into their own unique and cohesive curriculum. The ideal candidate's background would include mask work, both neutral and character, clowning and circus skills, and might also include experience with Viewpoints, Suzuki, Grotowski, or any number of other established movement pedagogies. Experience with non-Western performance forms is also highly desirable. This individual will also play a substantial role in helping the school implement a new devised theatre curriculum. MFA or equivalent professional experience preferred.
