BUSINESS & TECH APP ANALYST - ADVANCED

Job Description: This Business and Technology Applications Analyst position will be used primarily in support of University Advancement IT projects, and will be a key support analyst on the Agilon ONE System. This position represents senior software development for administrative systems development and technology services for the University within the EIS group. This position performs the most complex analytical activities associated with the University Advancement information system, requiring specialized knowledge and skills.

Work will involve design, analysis, and programming associated with the development, enhancement, and maintenance of highly complex, dynamic Oracle based systems, with an emphasis on serving the needs of the Students and Alumnus of East Carolina University. Projects assigned span the entire enterprise of the University. May also be asked to assist with any of the third party products that are purchased to interface with and compliment the Enterprise-Wide Administrative Systems.

This position must also perform design, analysis, high level planning and troubleshooting associated with regularly scheduled Agilon ONE Systems & Banner Systems maintenance and upgrades, ensuring the continued success, reliability and availability for production systems. The position requires the ability to work with large sophisticated applications that interact together. This position must also investigate and become an expert in 'new technologies' with the intent of implementation as well as to provide training to other team members and be a source for the developed standards pertaining to these technologies.

While uncommon, this position may require non-business hour support including evenings and weekends, depending on the needs of the University.


Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor's degree and some computer coursework from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development; or Associate's degree in Computer Programming and one year of experience in application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Journey level requires an additional one year of experience. Advanced level requires an additional two years of experience.


Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Advanced level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.

Salary Grade Equivalent: 78 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
