BUSINESS & TECH APP ANALYST - JOURNEY

Job Description: This position is responsible for serving as the data quality lead with knowledge of metrics reporting, data analysis, and business rules and processes associated with the institution's business-critical data systems. This position oversees the review and standards of data quality and the development activities associated with the creation of solutions that enable the University to resolve data quality issues. Technical job duties include the use of data profiling and data quality analysis tools and techniques to identify and re-mediate root causes of data quality issues, continuously monitor/measure the quality of Institutional Data, and develop data quality dashboards covering the University's Master Data. Functional job duties include working closely with Data Governance teams, The Office of Institutional Planning, Assessment, and Research, and other business units, to facilitate the resolution of data quality issues; establishing processes, standards, and validation rules that will result in data quality improvements; and leading data quality meetings in conjunction with audits around inconsistent data.

This position may have non-business hours support including evening and weekends, depending on the needs of the University.


Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Journey level requires an additional one year of experience.


Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.

Salary Grade Equivalent: 76 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
