Job Description: The Department of Recreation & Leisure Studies at East Carolina University invites applicants for a nine-month, tenure track position in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies within the College of Health and Human Performance effective August 2018. Applicants Expectations include instruction, externally funded scholarly research; participation in research/creative activity and scholarly publication; and service to the university, community, and profession.


Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree required with at least one degree in Recreation and Park Management. Evidence of teaching at the undergraduate level required. The candidate will need to be able to teach in core classes for the Recreation and Park Management degree program, and complement at least one emphasis area (community/non-profit recreation, tourism and commercial recreation, outdoor recreation or youth development).
