Job Description: Applications are invited for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Finance within the College of Business at East Carolina University beginning August 2018. Candidate will teach some combination of graduate and undergraduate courses in a variety of courses within the finance discipline, with investments and real estate being particular areas of need. Specialties in other areas of finance will also be considered. Standard teaching load is 9 s.h. in both the fall and spring semesters and 2 course preparations. Candidates will perform scholarly research leading to publications in the area(s) of specialization as required for tenure; be expected to provide service to the university, community, and profession; and other typical service duties as assigned by the department chair. Excellence in teaching is expected. Appointments are possible at both the Assistant and Associate rank with competitive salaries and research support.

Minimum Qualifications: --PhD with a concentration in Finance from an appropriately accredited university that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines; candidates with Ph.D. conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates also will be initially appointed with the probationary rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to your first reappointment

--Appointment at the associate rank requires a minimum of 4 years of university teaching experience at the assistant professor level as well as an established record of excellence in research, teaching, and service
