ALLIED HEALTH - SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (FACULTY)

Job Description: The East Carolina University, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, College of Allied Health Sciences, invites applications for a full-time speech-language pathology faculty position. Join our dynamic team of speech-language pathologist in the state-of-the-art East Carolina University Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic.

Expected caseload will consist of patients with a variety of disorders including: neurogenic, motor speech, voice fluency, articulation, as well as child and adolescent language disorders, including group therapies, and camp formats. Responsibilities will include all aspects of the clinical education of graduate students while providing services to patients. The candidate will be working with patients across the lifespan and with a variety of disorders. Patient care may be required to continue when students are on university breaks or in classes. Position may include off-campus clinical practice/supervision at contracted sites. Driving to sites up to 1.5 hours from Greenville may be part of the position's responsibilities.

This position is a 12-month, fixed-term (non tenure track), faculty appointment with the title of Clinical Instructor.


Minimum Qualifications: A master's degree in Communication Sciences is required; 3 years previous clinical experience is required; current ASHA certification in speech-language pathology (CC-SLP or equivalent) is required.

Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists is required (at time of hire).

Credentialing process by ECU Physicians Credentialing Office must begin immediately at time of hire.

Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
