Assistant Professor - Finance

Assistant Professor – Finance (Tenure Track)
Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance
Harrison College of Business and Computing

Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate/graduate finance courses including corporate finance, investments, and financial institutions
  • Advise undergraduate/graduate students
  • Produce scholarly publications consistent with department/college standards
  • Provide department, college, University, and professional service in accordance with departmental tenure and promotion guidelines including participation with student organizations and networking with representatives from the financial industry

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D/ DBA in Finance or ABD (Doctorate completed by August 1, 2019) in Finance (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university.)
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, investments, and financial institution
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver highly effective teaching for a variety of courses in finance
  • Demonstrated ability to produce quality peer-reviewed research related to finance
  • Evidence of effective communication skills (oral, written and interpersonal)
  •  Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities

Departmental Information: The Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance has 15 full-time faculty and approximately 375 undergraduate majors. It is part of the Harrison College of Business and Computing (1500 undergraduate and 200 graduate students) of which its BSBA and MBA are AACSB accredited.
