Summary of Position This is a part-time (an average of 10 hours per week) position, which may include occasional evening and weekend hours. This position provides services including: program advising and admission, student recruitment, liaison with regional community colleges, other educational institutions, businesses, and agencies, along with assisting with office operation coverage when needed.

Required Education Master's in Social Work or educational equivalent.
Required Work Experience Two years post graduate practice experience.

Duties
Duties Serves as the academic advisor for Northern Region Social Work Program:
- Includes setting regular advising dates and times including daytime and evening hours with some flexibility as to locations and times to meet the student needs.
- Creates academic checksheets.
- Advises students on equivalent community college courses.
- Verifies completion of admission requirements for new applicants.
- Assists with student admission and registration.
- Verifies consortium forms.
- Reviews graduation audit requirements.
Recruits new students:
- Attends a variety of advising meetings.
- Attends a variety of recruitment events such as career techs, colleges, and high school events.
- Schedules and attends visits at partner community colleges and conducts classroom visits, and follow up.
- Meets and maintains relationships with community college partners, local agencies, and businesses to promote the Social Work Program
- Responds and meets with all prospective students including developing sequence plans and meeting prospects needs.
- Develops and participates in recruitment strategies.
Assists in Northern Region operations when needed:
- Assists with office coverage, walk-ins, telephone coverage, office duties, and so-on.
- Participates in staff and strategy meetings.
- Assists in planning and participates in Northern Region events, such as annual graduation events, welcome back events, and recruitment events including setup and take down.
- Works with other social work faculty and office staff in meeting student needs.

Responsibilities Reports to the Social Work Program Coordinator as directive supervisor. Reports to the Director for the Northern Region as primary supervisor. Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information. Performs all duties in compliance with applicable University policies and procedures and state and federal requirements.
