Summary of Position Support various programs and initiatives within the college which enhance student learning and the management of the Metal/Sculpture facility. This is a part-time position with a maximum of 28 hours per week. Weekly schedule will be set by the program based on class need. Therefore, the position may not be scheduled for hours, or scheduled for reduced hours, during the summer months and other semester breaks.

Required Qualifications

Required Education Bachelors degree.

Required Work Experience Previous work experience working with related equipment, technology and materials of a metals studio and sculpture facility. Knowledge of and experience implementing safety regulations/protocols as related to the studio and equipment.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered BFA degree in the visual arts; experience managing academic facilities.

Duties Implement safety standards.
Address curricular needs relative to equipment/tooling and supplies.
Support instructional activities.
Provide oversight of student employees.
Provide recommendation for placement of student employees.
Assign schedules, work assignments and monitor work-flow of student employees.
Provide training; address safety, security and operational protocol.
Provide and serve as an open channel for communication between the faculty and student employees to ensure instructional expectations are met.
Oversee the ordering of any supplies and materials necessary for programmatic and facility needs.
