The College of Education at Michigan State University (MSU) is seeking an innovative colleague with a strong commitment to both research and practice at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to be part of our nationally ranked graduate program in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology. The position will begin as early as January 2014. The Educational Psychology and Educational Technology (EPET) doctoral program produces scholars and leaders in the study of learning, development, and technology embedded in culture and society, and is one of five doctoral programs in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education (CEPSE).
The individual selected for this position is expected to conduct an active program of research in educational psychology, preferably in the domain of motivation and education broadly construed. The person is also expected to teach graduate courses, advise Ph.D. students, and participate in professional, college, and departmental service activities. Having an interest and/or background in developing and teaching online and/or hybrid courses for doctoral students is viewed as a highly desirable characteristic.
Requirements include a doctorate in educational psychology or a closely related field, and a record of research-based publications and extramural funding commensurate with the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor at a leading research institution.
