Assistant Professor - Organic Chemistry

The Department of Natural Sciences invites applications for an Assistant Professor in organic chemistry in the area of experimental organic chemistry.  This tenure-track position will start in September 2017.  Applicants must have a PhD in organic chemistry.  Postdoctoral experience is preferred.  Experience in teaching undergraduates is highly desired.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, develop a research program with participation of undergraduate students, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and demonstrate the ability to attract external funding.  Start-up funds are available.  Please send a cover letter, CV, copies of transcripts, statement of teaching philosophy, research proposal, and a list of three references with e-mail addresses and phone numbers as a single PDF file to:  natscifacultysearch@umd.umich.edu.
