We are a multicultural, multidisciplinary, and multi-theoretical staff striving to provide culturally competent clinical services, outreach programming, and training opportunities. We are a counseling center that affirms diversity, condemns oppression in every form, and encourages the utilization of our services by all students, including those that might be reluctant to receive standard/traditional forms of treatment. To this end, we seek to provide a safe, welcoming and affirming environment for all.  CAPS is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS), and the doctoral internship is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).

These positions can be filled by a psychologist or social worker. Starting date is negotiable, but ideally by August 6, 2018.

Responsibilities for all positions include:  individual and group counseling, consultation with faculty and staff, outreach and liaison services, crisis intervention, and active involvement in all training programs including supervision of trainees, and educational activities. CAPS employees are strong generalists in the areas of solution-focused clinical work, group treatment, training and supervision of social work, psychiatry, and psychology trainees, and outreach/education/community engagement work, all within a college student mental health setting.

CAPS is especially interested in continuing to build and maintain a culturally diverse staff dedicated to working in a multicultural environment.
