Art Studio Manager

General Description: The primary function of this position is to manage and maintain the art studios. To supervise and schedule hourly art studio employees. To provide assistance to the Art Program Manager and Art Center Director. 

Required Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Associate of Arts Degree in the Visual Arts or related field. 

2. Susccessful experience: Two years minimum experience working in 2D, Pottery and Sculpture studio situations. 

Desired Qualifications:

1. Experience with digital photographic processes and digital image manipulation software to create and store images. 

2. BFA or MFA. 

3. Operational knowledge of gas-fired and electrical-fired kins. 

4. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of pottery studio equipment. 

5. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of gas and electric welding equipment.

6. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of sculpture related woodworking and metalworking equipment.

7. Experience with the installation of art exhibits within a gallery setting.

8. Experience with digital and traditional photography equipment.

9. Experience assisting in an art gallery installation. 

10. Strong communication skills.

11. Strong problem solving skills.

Salary: $37,342 - $49,789 / year
