Teaching Fellow of Communication

The Communication Department at Stonehill College invites applicants for a one-year teaching fellow position to begin in August 2017. This person will join a department of six full-time faculty members with a wide range of disciplinary expertise and a commitment to fostering diversity among faculty and students. We seek applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching, advising, mentoring undergraduates, and who demonstrate an awareness of the importance of diversity in education.

The position requires the candidate to teach two courses per semester in our Media Studies Concentration, hold commensurate on campus office hours and participate in scheduled faculty meetings. We seek candidates with a background in Media Studies, including Cinema Studies with ability to teach the following courses:

  • COM 107 Introduction to Mediated Communication.
  • COM 207 Media Criticism.
  • Courses in their own specialty, which will be included as offerings in the Department’s 300-level rotating Topics Sequence.
