Senior Human Resources Representative

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) REPRESENTATIVE, School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, to provide human resources support to the assistant dean for finance and administration and director of human resources. Will provide support to the school's administrative officers and hiring managers on a variety of HR functions, including guidance on processing academic and nonacademic appointment paperwork; resolving payroll issues and serving as a liaison with MIT's HR/Payroll Service Center; assisting with serious search efforts; assisting with development/implementation of internal training programs; serving as resource regarding MIT personnel policies and procedures and school guidelines; tracking and updating faculty sabbaticals and other leaves, reappointment scheduling, and promotion and tenure schedules; managing diversity predoctoral call for applications; and performing other duties as needed.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a minimum of five years' related experience, preferably in human resources; highly developed interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people and work both independently and as a team member; excellent organizational and communication skills; attention to detail; ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and work effectively to meet deadlines in a busy environment; proficiency with MS Word and Excel; self-motivation; initiative; and tact and discretion with highly confidential information/issues. MIT experience a plus. Bachelor's degree and experience with MIT's systems (Cognos, BrioQuery) and SAP preferred. Job #15359-6
