Sales Development Representative, edX

SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE, edX , to sell into Fortune 2000 companies looking for quality alternatives to educating their workforce, identifying, negotiating, and closing the sale of bulk access to the edX online education platform. Will be on the sales end of a transformative process that will be changing the way corporations up-skill their workforce. Responsibilities include actively contacting prospects to build a pipeline of business opportunities; independently creating custom course bundles from a catalog of over 1500 courses and managing all aspects of each account including regular communication and onsite visits; and using Salesforce to record all activity. EdX is a non-profit, growth-stage eLearning startup with a mission to provide high quality education for everyone, everywhere.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED : five years' experience in related sales; demonstrated ability to understand product inventory, develop new client relationships, create and negotiate compelling deals, and close contracts; experience independently negotiating "winning deals"; ability to write and design terms for management approval; good consensus building and communication skills; demonstrated success in a sales role with direct responsibility for identifying, negotiating, and contracting with prospects, clients, and channel partners; experience working with and presenting to senior level executive prospects; willingness to understand the platform, ever-changing competitive landscape, and the start-up and entrepreneurial mindsets; detail orientation; good fact finding skills for uncovering and understanding prospect's learning needs at a granular level; ability to clearly promote edX while attending key industry events and conferences. A track record of annual sales of over $500K+ is preferred. Experience with LMS, ERP, middleware, content, learning and training content or platform sales a plus. Job #16398-6
