Grants Development Officer



GRANTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, MIT-SUTD (Singapore University of Technology and Design) Collaboration-MIT International Design Center (IDC), to identify potential funding opportunities, produce strategies and proposals, and steward ongoing grants for the IDC. Will report to the IDC co-director and MIT-SUTD collaboration director and work in close collaboration with the IDC's director of strategy and outreach to solidify the IDC's position at MIT as a center of design thinking and research. Will collaborate on developing a comprehensive grants management program and increase awareness and engagement in grant opportunities and outcomes at the IDC; identify relevant funding opportunities and develop and coordinate the proposal submission process; build strong working relationships with IDC faculty and relevant MIT administrators; keep leadership informed of current and pending grants at the IDC; and work closely with Office of Sponsored Programs to ensure the efficient and timely review and submission of all proposals and track these proposals.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; at least three years of experience in grant writing; outstanding persuasive writing skills; demonstrated success securing foundation, corporate, and government grants; and demonstrated ability to set priorities, organize workload, manage competing demands, meet deadlines, and set and follow through on ambitious goals; enough budgeting experience to be able to assist and advise on project budgets; and demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
