DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS, MIT Technology Review (MITTR), to help develop online and offline marketing strategies to generate brand awareness and build loyalty to MITTR's content, tech news, and insights that will keep them ahead of the curve on what's current, relevant, new, and innovative. Will develop customer-facing marketing tactics and incorporate data and testing into the decision-making process to attract and increase subscribers, registrations, and traffic across all channels; and work cross-functionally with editorial, design, events, sales, and web development. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop multichannel marketing initiatives and strategies--in line with MITTR's objectives--to drive customer awareness, engagement, loyalty, and retention through research and analysis of customer requirements, target audience, and the competitive landscape.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: B.A./B.S. in marketing, marketing communications, or related field; seven-plus years' marketing/product management experience, preferably in media or publishing; thorough understanding of online business models and strategies; experience managing an optimized marketing mix, including SEM, display, affiliates/syndication, email, social media, direct media buys, partnerships, video, radio, and web; proficiency with direct response marketing principles and practices; well-honed media planning and buying skills; strong interpersonal, writing and copy-editing, business writing, and presentation skills; sensitivity to graphic design and copyfitting; solid decision-making ability; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; excellent time management skills; and ability to multitask and work in an environment with tight deadlines. Seek strategic and tactical thinker with strong analytical skills and talent for driving demand and engaging customers. Will be expected to have or cultivate a keen interest in how technology affects society and business and technology information in the larger media marketplace. Membership/subscription/customer management experience preferred. Job #15419-R
