L.A. Burdick Chocolates is looking for a Cafe Manager to round out our leadership team for our Cambridge Café. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a motivated and professional retail team; work in a beautifully appointed, chocolate retail and European-style Cafe' environment.

This position is responsible for leading all team members, maintaining high store standards and conditions, and fostering a positive environment, which provides efficient and friendly service, ensuring a quality experience for both our customers and team members. 

Duties:

• Lead the Cafe and communication with headquarters
• Accomplishes HR objectives by assigning, scheduling, coaching, communicating job expectations; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Facilitates on-going training and development of current staff.
• Meets operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
• Meet financial standards by balancing cash outs; daily bank deposits and identifying variances.
• Maintain cafe' general supplies inventory, by checking stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Key holder, including opening and closing.

Skills/Experience:

• Highly responsible and committed
• Management Proficiency
• Barista experience preferred
• Professional and polished personal presentation
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Outlook use
• ServSafe Certification preferred but not necessary
• Experience with front of house and back of house POS systems and functions
• Capable of lifting and carrying loads of 40lbs.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2-5 years of management experience
