AFFIRMATIVE ACTION (AA) AND EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO) SPECIALIST, Human Resources, to produce, analyze, and manage MIT's Affirmative Action plans. Will ensure compliance with federal and state AA, EEO, and OFCCP regulations; provide guidance to HR colleagues on developing and implementing programs and practices to advance and support MIT's long-standing commitment to workplace diversity, affirmative action, and equal opportunity; and participate in the evaluation of institution-wide progress in creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable work environment. Responsibilities include managing all areas of MIT's AA plans; serving as central point of contact in the event of an OFCCP audit; monitoring regulatory environment affecting federal contractors; providing expert consultation to central and Institute-wide HR staff; facilitating programs and outreach to improve recruitment and retention of women and minority staff, individuals with disabilities, and veterans; using data to improve the diversity of candidate pools/hires/transfers/promotions and reporting; designing and conducting training; increasing utilization of the Enriching Diversity application; and performing other duties as assigned.A full description is available at https://careers.mit.edu/sites/default/files/documents/aff_action_eeo_specialist_0318.pdf .

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; strong analytical skills; ability to synthesize and communicate clearly about complex legal requirements; experience with or interest in and aptitude for complex data gathering and reporting including statistical analysis; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a wide-range of constituencies in a culturally diverse environment; collaborative approach to work and ability to influence others; excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills; and strong project management skills. At least five years' professional HR experience, experience with or understanding of HR IS and applicant tracking systems with respect to affirmative action compliance, experience managing affirmative action programs, and a JD or master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
